To him that was hailed
By kings, shepherds and men at birth
Be glory
Was hailed again
As he entered Jerusalem
“Hosanna to the King!”
The lips that ‘Hosanna” cried
Later ‘crucify’ cried
He died, scripture fulfilled
Temple veil into two
Fear gripped the earth
“He was a good man”
Were the officer’s words
Buried and taken as no more
Faithless we
Yet He who is King
Broke the fetters of death
The third day saw Him rise
An empty tomb still lies
There is hope for man
A cause to celebrate
Lord of Lords, King of Kings
Still to be hailed
Though the Lord you have denied
He still loves you;
And asks,
“Do you love me?”
